Skive, Bangsar

Look for this signage for GOOD FOOD. |
Today, we decided to drop by the bustling suburb of Bangsar, where good food and good vibes exist.Initially, we were headed to our favourite cake place, Jaslyn cakes but sadly they were close on Mondays. However, it was a blessing in disguised as this required us to explore other places. To our surprise, we found Skive. (My queen approves of it)
Skive is a newly opened cafe. Hence everything was new and beautiful on the inside and the outside. Upon entering the cafe, we were greeted with a whiff of aroma of piping hot patisseries mixed with freshly brewed coffee. Immediately my olfactory nerves and optic nerves were highly stimulated. I almost drool at the counter.
Upon entry at Skive, we greeted by the staffs and there is this particular beautiful lady, named Wen. She is the most welcoming and cheerful person that you will ever meet in the food service industry. Swiftly, she began introducing to us their breads, cakes, ice cream and etc. She was so good that she could convince even the calorie counting me to take a scoop of ice cream. (There goes my diet for the day)

Mommy dearest with her selection of indulgence. |
After all the decision making on which to order (which was a tough decision), mommy dearest decided to try their Vadai Soda Bread, Durian bread puff, French Croissant, and a Big Mexican Breakfast.
Their Vadai Soda Bread is a must try! I was initially asking for scones and then Wen said: "why not try our Malaysian twist of the scones? Our Vadai Soda Bread" . Initially we were skeptical but in the end we just tried it. Holy Molly! It was a freaking delicious soda bread, crispy and bursting with the aroma of Indian spices and curry leaves. Highly recommend it. pssss. It's served warm too.

The Big Mexican Breakfast |
Taste wise, damn it's good. It really has that Mexican flavour. Smokey, tomato-ey , a tad bit sour and savoury. The concoction of flavours and aroma is just right. It's not salty but just right. That perfect point where the food is seasoned right.
Upon taking the first bite, it brought back so many memories of my aunt's pasta whom was excellent in making Mexican food.

Gluttony in action. |
Last but not least, do try other stuff on their menu too. Their menu ranges from Mexican to Italian to Malaysian. It is really diverse and I am pretty sure there is something there for every palate.
P.s. Thank you Wen (later we found out she was the pretty lady boss) for the amazing dining experience and delectable food in SKIVE. We will definitely return again.
